If you’re looking for a classic British pub experience in the heart of Manchester, The Waldorf is a great pick. The place feels instantly cozy the moment you walk in, with that warm, lively atmosphere you’d expect from a proper city-centre pub—helped by the fact that they had a game on, which added to the energy. This is one of them places you can start or end your night or just stay in all day. Very relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of room to sit and watch sports or chat, and it's really close to the train station so shouldn't miss the connection unless you're enjoying yourself too much.

Been here many times down the decades & glad to see it's still going strong. Usually a first or last port of call from Picadilly Station. Usually a well kept choice of ale in this predominantly football focussed pub. I've always liked the lighting & like the raised seating by the window. On this occasion I went upstairs to the intensely bright sports bar which had an ok pint of Landlord. I tried the large fish & chips (fries) meal which was ok but a bit short on quality & quantity. The highlight was actually the battered sausage. The other downside was no soap in the upstairs toilet.
