Went here with my partner to give it a try. Not sure if it’s linked to the Sambuca Windmill off the A19, but the quality wasn’t quite on the same level. The menu was different too, so maybe it’s a separate place. The food itself was really good. The bolognese was cooked to perfection and the waiter happily piled on as much parmesan as we wanted. Chips were nice, though I’d have liked them a touch crisper as they were a bit soft and pale. The pizza was spot-on—fresh dough with plenty of cheese and generous toppings. We ordered two starters - fresh mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce and belly pork and black pudding. The mussels were lovely, as was the belly pork. The black pudding was, however, so heavily spiced that it was impossible to actually taste the pudding. My father ordered the sea bass which arrived as two fillets and was beautifully cooked. This restaurant we've been a couple of times and also in different locations and cannot rate Sambuca enough. The atmosphere is fab when you're inside you don't ever feel uncomfortable, the service is always great and the food is excellent. Can't rate enough.
