I ordered before reading reviews so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I must say, I’m really pleasantly surprised. Firstly I ordered during a buy one get one free deal on certain meals, and the value on that alone is excellent. So far the food is really good too, even at full price I wouldn’t have knocked it. There’s been complaints of lack of authenticity but I don’t agree. The jerk chicken especially is beautiful. Tastes like they do have a proper bbq/smoker to make it rather than an oven, as it’s smoky and seasoned all the way through. Where I’m knocking a star is that delivery was very slow.

Please do not waste your time — and more importantly, your money — buying food from this establishment. I ordered a family meal of fried and stewed chicken with rice and peas, and the experience was genuinely alarming. To begin with, one of the meals was missing the rice entirely. I ordered (large oxtail rice & peas steamed veg) before reading reviews and was a bit scared. Brruuuuuh best decision I’ve made in ages so so tasty tender oxtail meat literally melts into your mouth everything looked fresh to me very filling I’ve legit got a buzz from eating that large portioned beast!! We ordered from Tropics Grill through Deliveroo at 7:20 PM. The app stated that the restaurant handles its own delivery within 40mins. After an hour of waiting, we called the restaurant at 8:20 PM and were told the food would arrive within 30 minutes due to a lack of delivery staff. By 9:20 PM, we called again for an update and were asked to wait another 15 minutes. We eventually considered requesting a refund through Deliveroo because of the long delay.
