Went for a meal with my husband, father in law and 1 yr old son. Lucy served us and was brilliant, nothing was an issue. My son was very restless and she very easily came up with an addition to the menu to accommodate him. The food was also really good. I had the Cumberland sausage which was lovely, my husband had the lamb burger which was also lovely. Definitely a great pub that I hope to return to when I come back to Kendal. Xxx

Great GF burger menu & also good selection of other GF dishes. What a great find as even these days it can be difficult to finger GF options. Food here was very good, fairly priced, staff knowledgable, friendly & nice atmosphere. Definitely the place to eat when visiting family locally. Had a day out in kendal from Manchester. We just called in without a booking as it had been recommended to us. They made us feel very welcome and found us a table. We had the Sunday lunch and my wife had the vegetarian option. The food was absolutely lovely and had so much choice on the plate. Managed to save a bit of room for the dessert, we shared the mixed berry crumble and was lovely too. The service was efficient and the staff were polite and on the ball. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing stay at the Golden Fleece Cottage. The cottage was beautiful, comfortable, and made for the perfect getaway. The best part of the experience was the staff at the Golden Fleece Inn — especially Lucy and the team. They made us feel so welcome and at home from the moment we arrived. Nothing was too much trouble, and the whole atmosphere was warm, friendly, and genuinely homely. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in Kendal. We’ll definitely be returning!
