A GOOD portion, but the chips weren't as fresh as you'd like; perhaps that's a problem with customers and changing tastes – there's no point in cooking small batches in an industrial frier when there are only a couple of customers. Otherwise, it's a friendly and long established business; if I get the chance to visit at a busier time it'll be good to see how good the food is piping hot and straight out of the oil. PS it's cash only – this is a Traditional chippy long may it stand 👍👍👍

A North London guy who has lived and run this chip shop for the last 40 years, and its no wonder. He is a nice guy, hus food is fresh, top notch, and lots of it. Each piece of haddock was about 10" long and the tray was full of chips underneath. We are stuffed 👌. Great value. We will be back if we're in Macclesfield again for any reason.
