Wow! Such a quaint little place, lots of character, the waiting staff were friendly and the food ordered came very quickly and tasted delicious! What more could you ask for. Not the easiest place to get to but it is right next to Rock Ferry slipway so you could combine it on a nice day out, watch the river Mersey and admire any boots that float by. Would definitely recommend this obvious gem 💎

Situated in a beautiful location, the Refreshment Rooms offers an incredible atmosphere, with several distinct dining rooms decorated with authentic historical pieces. They also have an excellent gluten-free selection. Every item we ordered was delicious and far exceeded expectations for a standard pub meal, regardless of dietary requirements. The service was warm and welcoming despite our last-minute arrival, and we were made to feel well looked after — including our baby. Casual yet memorable, fairly priced, and absolutely delicious.

Having read alot of reviews about the Refreshment Rooms I decided to give it a try and wow we were not disappointed. We were greeted and seated immediately, our drinks order taken straight away. We browsed the menu and I chose the scouse and my wife chose the fish and chips. The food arrived and was full of flavour, portions were spot on. The staff were attentive and helpful and happy in their work. We will most definitely return as the Refreshment Rooms are very much worth visiting again. It goes to show that great reviews promote a great business and attract new customers.
