My son rode down to get a large portion of chips for us to have with out dinner tonight and we felt disappointed with what we got. We have used this chip shop since moving to the area and normally myself or my husband collects, however the portion size was not a large, it was more like small. Can't help but wonder if it was because a young boy bought them alone? But the amount was less than half what we'd normally be given. I called the chip shop to complain and a polite young girl answered but did not really give me a reason why or solution. Maybe time to try others in the area, which is a

Great fish and chips here I did go to the WestCliff restaurant as I live round the corner but Rayleigh shop is 100% better and cleaner . Staff are so nice here and food was really good will go back again

Shocking service and experience. Called up 45 minutes before closing, was told you can’t order unless you come in. My partner went in, ordered two Jack Daniel’s chicken burgers, chicken nuggets and Jack Daniel’s sauce. Both burgers came dry and also came with no cheese, and thrown together and also did not get the Jack Daniel’s sauce that we paid extra for. Never have these issues with the Westcliff or Brentwood branch. Tried calling to complain and no answer. Avoid.
