Well what can I say..I've just been to Skylight Lounge following a recommendation and to say that they've lived up to the hype is an understatement. The relaxing, welcoming ambience hits you as soon as you walk through the door. The scent of coffee and the hot food warms your senses and puts you at ease immediately. The young lady behind the counter was gracious and welcoming. She took my order which was simplistic (A jacket potatoe with tuna and cheese). The food came quickly and was piping hot. I've never left a review before but felt I had to. It was my first visit, the cafe was really busy. We really wanted to sit in and there was little space. The staff put together a table for us. Liked the fact that the food menu is on instragram (but available on a tablet too). Between us we got Turkish eggs and smashed avocado on toast. Food was amazing, can tell it was all made fresh. Customer service was excellent. Friendly and checked to see if everything was ok. We witnessed some really rude entitled customers and the staff were polite but fair. I recently visited this lovely cosy cafe and instantly felt at home. I ordered two speciality drinks and the loaded fries, and everything was delicious, fresh and the food arrived promptly. The atmosphere truly stood out – it was warm and welcoming, with a great variety of seating, which made it feel really relaxed and personal. The owner is so lovely and the staff were attentive and friendly throughout. Such a cosy vibe and definitely somewhere I’ll be visiting again.
