Came yesterday for food and the portion size was terrible! When I raised the issue I was told it’s because they are owned by a brewery! £16.00 per meal and a handful at that! Steak wasn’t even palm size! Shame I used to love this place. Won’t be eating there again. Bar was slow too! Atmosphere was okay though so I guess wasn’t all bad.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff Visited the Mill House Pub in St Helens and had a really great experience. The food was excellent — fresh, full of flavour, and well presented, with generous portion sizes. Everything was cooked perfectly and came out quickly. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive, which made the visit even better. The atmosphere was warm and relaxed, making it a great spot for both a meal and a few drinks. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Only one person serving behind the bar, I was told she was supposed to be on her own on a Sunday! Food took nearly 50mins to serve. Food wasn't as described on the menu ie chunky chips with the burger instead of skinny fries, no relish with the burger, medley of green veg was just peas with the pie. I have come here a few times, the first time the food was great, it's massively let me down the last 2 visits.
