We've been coming here for nigh-on 20 years. Always a high-light of our stays in Stratford, 90% of which are Royal Shakespeare Company related. While the RSC quality has drooped, hit by funding cuts, the Oppo.remains a cracking location for a really good meal. Fresh produce, wide range, really well cooked. Service fine. Ambience to our liking! Strongly recommended!

Great old building, had a number of locals eating which is always a good sign. Food was gastro pub style, really tasty and plentiful. Crab salad was delicious as was fish of the day…Wine was great. Staff were lovely, really nice atmosphere. I’d definitely eat here all the time if I lived local. Definitely book if you are there Fri or Sat

We came here for lunch on Saturday and had a sharing platter for 2. Really enjoyed our lunch with a drink and coffee to finish. Service was efficient and relaxed. Will definitely come back when in town.

My partner and I went on May Bank Holiday Monday evening last. The hottest on record. 32C! Everyone outside was fading in the heat. Inside I asked for a cool table. We got it! Perfect, with air conditioning producing a nice cool draft. We both had the rib-eye and accompaniments. As good as we have had. Perfect! A full ten out of ten. The staff were friendly and accommodating in what must have been unusually difficult conditions for them with temperatures so high on one of their busiest nights. Couldn't praise too highly!
