We heard good things about Max’s and are finally here! We arrived before noon and were lucky enough to have no queue! Ordered their signature egg & ham sandwich and Caesar’s sandwich, which are both banging! We actually liked the Caesar’s one more as it was refreshing and not how you would imagine it to taste like. Spuds are also surprisingly good, crunchy and flavourful. Max himself was really welcoming and generally good vibe in the restaurant, would recommend :)

The best sandwiches. I’ve wanted to visit Max’s for a few years but living in Surrey I was tricky to get to. All I can say is I should have made the trip up to North London much sooner. We sampled the Ham, Egg and Chips sandwich along with the “ Et Tu, Brute? Murdering The Caesar,” both were works of art. We did have to wait for an hour for our food because it was so busy, but we went next door to a lovely pub called the Robin and waited in there. Having heard about Max's around 18 months ago ot was on the list of possible whilst holidaying from New Zealand. Definitely worth the visit great friendly service, fantastic sandwich and the Big Max potatoes were top notch. Fantastic Negroni to top it off.
