John Carr (Corinne and John)★★★★★Very good pub about 10 minutes walk from Sunderland Railway Station. Five cask beers on handpump when I visited including a dark ale. Very friendly and helpful staff. The pub is a Grade II listed building which was designed in 1901. The interior is particularly fine with wonderful wood and plaster work behind the bar.

Real fire heating the place up nicely.Nice choice of drinks at reasonable prices. Service was friendly and welcoming. Relaxed casual vibe to the place. Would definitely recommend a visit here.
