papa's taste in taunton served some seriously good food. everything came out fast and the flavours were spot on, properly fresh and exactly what you want from greek food. the service though… honestly felt more like walking into a cafe or a takeaway. the servers were pretty blunt, no real welcome or intro, just straight to the point. not unfriendly, just not warm. if you're going mainly for the food, its absolutely worth it. if you're expecting a cosy restaurant experience, its not really that. but the cooking itself is top tier.

Nice clean venue and very friendly attentive waiter. We came in for lunch, no issues getting a table and food was served in good time. We enjoyed each of the meals, including the calamari which was delicious. They had a few options on the kids menu, the bolognaise went down well. Happy we tried it out

I really don't understand all the 5 stars reviews for this place, maybe it's just not my cup of tea - it's less of a Greek restaurant and more of a sit-down 'posh' kebab place (gyros/pitta/skepasti). It was busy when we went on a Friday night though, and is popular for takeaways. I had the Skepasti Mix £15.90 for main (pork and chicken gyros in between two big flat pittas, and chips) which was a large portion but I didn't really like it.
