Ordered a collection which was ready on time. I ordered a large cod and chips with lots of vinegar and salt, and some mushy peas. The fish was freshly cooked and was fine and so were the mushy peas but the chips were barely warm and tasted like they had been cooked yesterday. And I couldn’t taste any vinegar or salt either. Disappointing really as I had heard that everything was cooked fresh to order. But I guess it was a slow day and they decided to take a risk with their reviews. Shame.

Reaaaaally tragic that this is the highest rated chippy in Whitstable. I think these guys write their own reviews. We’ve tried 3-4 different places on our trip, this was absolutely the worst. The fish and chips were probably the worst I’ve had in my life. More of a fish schnitzel than an authentic chippy.
