Food is pretty yum, I have definitely had better pho elsewhere further away in Iowa but if you're in Ames, this place is your best bet. Bobas are good although on the sweeter side and service is always very polite.

I have only had this 2 times, first time was amazing and staff was very friendly. The food was great! Ordered again last night for my second time, and as soon as we got in there we were rushed from the start, we were the only people in there and the first thing the server could say was hi we close in 25 minutes. I didn't realize what time they had closed, so we asked if we could still order, she said yup! So we did, basically forced to take it to go, which sucked cause we live about 25 minutes away and came over there to dine in (we took it to near by park instead) As soon as I opened my beef

The friendliness and patience of the staff made this dining experience. I'd never had Pho and they were happy to talk me through all the options as well as their sandwiches, rice, and noodle options. With roughly 8 tables well spread out a quiet atmosphere is kept to make it feel like a special experience. Portion sizes were generous, especially the Pho.

Very good Vietnamese food for Ames, Iowa. I did not expect to find food this good in the middle of Iowa. The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The spring rolls were very good. They offered extra bean sprouts and Thai basil on the side, which was a nice touch. The fish sauce tasted homemade and was well balanced. 😍
