This place is truly engrained in the soul of Ann Arbor—that is before Ann Arbor became so corporate. If you are looking for soul, an experience with texture, and with philosophy and meaning, you will find good refuge here. Even more, the food and people are superb. We have been visit for years with our family. Our kids grew up knowing that with great passion and works often has great people. You can find great cuisine that is vegetarian or fully plant based. Located in an old building with lots of charm and character. The owner is very nice. I was so excited to see all the vegan options. I really appreciate that the vegan options were labeled clearly and it's eco-friendly. I love the collection of vegan desserts. I enjoyed the vegan mango lassi. The buffet is mostly vegan. From the buffet items, I recommend the sag dal and channa masala.

Every single item on the menu is fantastic. The quality of the food by itself would merit Earthen Jar 5 stars, but the genuine kindness of the staff makes it a one of a kind establishment. Each meal is prepared with care, and are mostly vegan so it’s an all around great place. Highly recommend!

Omg what happened to earth n jar ?! When I lived in ann arbor I used to order at E n J all the time n it was excellent 15 yrs ago ! Omg I was in A2 n decided im gling to order there well got home it is not the same holy salt shakers the spinach tofu I could not eat super salty n the cream sauce with broccoli just had this strong mustard taste wth happened to this place ? Omg
