Marisa Balletti-Lavoie★★★★★Tom's Dim Sum on Arch Street in Philadelphia's Chinatown is an absolute gem! Conveniently located near our hotel, it became our go-to spot, with visits on both New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day after the parade. The standout experience? Being served by a robot waiter—it added such a fun and modern twist to our meal! The food was unforgettable. The scallion pancakes were perfectly crispy and flavorful, and the noodles were so delicious I’ll be dreaming about them for ages. Every dish we tried was fantastic, and the warm atmosphere made it the perfect spot to unwind during the holiday festiviti
MNIC★★★I visited Tom’s Dim Sum on Sunday before 8:45pm, but they told me it was take‑out only, even though the sign on the door says they close at 10:00pm. Several other customers walked in and looked confused as well. As for the food, don’t expect too much — it’s just okay and passable, nothing memorable.
John Blanco★I ordered General tso's, sesame beef and Singapore noodles . One of the worst General tso's. Tasted more like a sweet and sour sauce. Not to mention the sesame beef and the chicken dish both had the same sauce. Horrible. The Singapore noodles flavor was just about there but there was hardly any chicken pork and I only had two shrimp in it. The portion of noodle to meat not worth the price. This place is not worth your time with so many other good Chinese restaurants around. Save your money go elsewhere. Not to mention I got no silverware sauces or plates. I was told they do not have any. What
Will★★The dim sum here was pretty average in both taste and flavor. It feels more like a heavily Americanized Chinese dim sum spot rather than offering a more authentic experience. The service was okay overall, nothing particularly outstanding, but nothing too bad either. I personally wouldn’t revisit. It might be a decent introductory dim sum experience for more reserved western diners who are new to dim sum. However, if you’re looking for the traditional dim sum tea house experience with carts rolling around, skillfully handcrafted dumplings, and richer, more authentic flavors, I’d recommend visi
