Fantastic food! It is a little place where the locals eat, and was recommended to us by a local in Chinatown. The food was delicious, they had a menu in English so we could understand it, and they even gave us a fork along with the chopsticks. The only complaint is that they don't bring the food out all together, and we didn't get it appetizer until after we received our entree. We ordered one entree for two of us to share and one plate of vegetables (yummy), plus an appetizer. First we got the entree, then a few minutes later the side of rice that goes with it. Visited January 2nd, 2026 After an amazing visit at Mark’s Hair Salon, I asked the gentleman at the salon for a Chinese restaurant recommendation, specifically one that served dumplings. He not only recommended Hunan House, but he actually walked us there. That small act of kindness set the tone for what turned out to be a wonderful dining experience. My daughters, who are six and seven, had been craving dumplings all day, especially after patiently waiting for over two hours while I got my hair done. A whole cockroach was found in my takeaway food after I had already eaten half the meal.外賣的農家小炒肉裡面有蟑螂！！ The restaurant refunded my order, but that does not change the fact that I had already consumed part of the food. They even didn't say sorry to me.This was one of the most disgusting dining experiences I have ever had.

One of the best Chinese food in Chinatown. We stayed at the Hilton in financial district and was looking for a place to have dinner, and was attracted by all the different Chinese dishes (both Cantonese and Sichuan) shown in their menu. The restaurant wasn’t fancy looking, just like an average restaurant with red antique decor, but their food was excellent. I had the best tasting Cantonese roasted duck that flavorful but not overly salty and crispy delicious skin.
