Best bagel in hole feeling in San fransisco (or the only one) if you are looking for NYC style bagel, this is it. Egg is more softer than I like, but I guess this is not nyc bagel. It's really feel like bodega haha. Drop coffee, bagel, sandwich. Didn't try the baklava but keep seeing people buying them.

This hands down was one of THE BEST sandwiches I've ever had! The flavor was such a great and perfect combination of fresh and savory. I had intended to go to a place across the street but they were taking forever to let me take an order bc a dinner rush had just come in. It’s a good option for anyone looking for breakfast before 6am (for example if you’ve come from Europe and are up early). The sandwiches are good and there’s a good variety. It could have been a little bit bigger. I had to wait a little bit for the food to be ready, but at least that means it’s made to order! The cafe isn’t great for sitting down, it’s not particularly pretty, but as a takeout place early in the morning it’s great.

I visited Mellis Café early on a Sunday morning and was immediately struck by how busy and lively it already was. It’s clearly a popular spot, with a steady stream of customers coming through the door, which usually speaks volumes about a place. Despite the bustle, the staff were welcoming and efficient when taking orders.
