This place is one of the few Japanese bakeries spots I love! Very homey feeling. Although space is limited while you order, there is a comfortable floral seating area in the back. Prices are very reasonable.

Very excited that we stepped foot into this bakery as part of the Cookie Battle! We’ve walked by before but never stopped in. I have been coming to Chako for years! I personally love the curry Chako serves on Fridays, but I also really enjoy the karaage and onigiri combo set. The karaage (fried chicken) is moist and perfectly crispy. I love squeezing the provided lemon wedge over the chicken, to deepen the complexity of the flavor. I have tried multiple menu items from Chako, including desserts and savory pastries. I have never had one bad item here, ever! Love this cozy place. The women running the store are so friendly and kind. I got the onigiri combo and everything was so delicious. But the MATCHA CAKE.. I will be returning very soon and often just for that slice of heaven.
