I drove from East Tennessee all the way to Dalton Georgia just to get these burgers and tallow fries. I was not disappointed... They have one of the best burgers and fries a man could dream about. 5 Stars🌟

As a restaurant, it's gone way downhill since they stepped table service. Now it's just a Zaxby's with burgers instead of chicken. The burgers are still really good, but make sure you check the bag before you drive off. They get your order wrong maybe once in ten visits. I won't really ever get over the fact that they've just given up on being a quality nostalgic restaurant, though.

I tried the garlic double steak burger combo. The burger and fries were delicious! Stopped by on a Sunday and this place was jumping. The lady working the cash register and dinning area was doing and amazing job getting things cleaned up and people rung up all with a friendly attitude. She definitely needs a raise! The dinning room itself could use a deep clean and some TLC. Air vents, paint metal trim all is very tired and gross.

The customer service was good! The food was hot and fresh. The service was fast! It’s been a while since I had steak n shake due to my local location going out of business so it was a nice treat! The only thing that I didn’t like was that the sweet tea had no taste, the tables were sticky, and there were a lot of flies in the restaurant which makes it hard for you to eat and enjoy your food. Overall I still had a great experience.
