Today marked my first visit to Dave's, and I was not disappointed. I chose the Lite mild bites accompanied by Mac and cheese. Given that I cannot eat spicy food, the Lite mild option was a great fit with the perfect seasoning. The Dave's sauce added a delightful flavor kick. My daughter selected the tenders with Medium sauce, which she thoroughly enjoyed. The counter staff member, whose name unfortunately escapes me, provided exceptional service on February 3 at 1:30. Here today June 12, 2026. When you walk into a restaurant and you see no one eating but some waiting, asleep and just looking lost, leave. Here waiting since 4:26pm, it's now 5:00 pm and none has food. Since then, 12 more people have joined the waiting line. This is funny. A very expensive restaurant and a very loud and mediocre atmosphere. Food was fantastic, exactly as pictured, well seasoned, fresh, flavorful. Would absolutely eat here again and will probably crave it until I do. Almost went with four stars — the food saved it — but I wasn’t greeted upon arrival, used the computer to order, had to ask for my cup for my drink when my order came out, wasn’t told which tender was which (two different spice levels), and the table I sat at needed wiped down. This was our 1st time coming to any Dave’s Hot Chicken. The gentleman greeting customers and taking orders was excellent. I believe his name was Jason but could be wrong. He was wearing a hat and had a beard. No real issues with him at all. The real problem we had was our wait time. We only ordered a #1 which is 2 Tenders , fries and a side of Mac & Cheese. We ordered at 4:15pm and did not get our food until close to 5pm. Almost 45 minutes for one order. There must have been 8-9 orders that came out before ours whether it was DoorDash or other customers that ordered after us. We were so close
