I came here early on a Monday morning so it wasn’t too busy and then after a while I saw it getting very busy, it seemed like a very popular place to work and study which is exactly what I did. When I walked in, the first thing that caught my attention was the delicious looking pastries. While I did not have an appetite to order any food, I got a latte which was served in a for here cup which I loved. There is no indoor seating actually but they have a LOT of outdoor tables with shelter which made it a great spot for me to get my work done.

I came here to read and make payments on my computer, and luckily I was hungry too because I ended up having a “simple” turkey avocado croissant 🥐. I’d like to share that it has been a while since I’ve had such a perfectly seasoned and balanced “simple” sandwich. I also had a jasmine iced tea, which was the perfect pairing for my sandwich. The girl at the counter was very friendly. Every time I go to a good coffee shop, I’m prepared for the typical barista personality (which I do like and enjoy), but this time was different. Lofty Coffee Co. (101 San Diego) has really great coffee! I had a pour-over, and I loved the bright, fruity flavor. They also had a winter pumpkin soup, which I tried, but it was a bit lukewarm and didn’t taste as good as I hoped. It would be better served hot. The small piece of bread that came with it was delicious. I’ll definitely come back for the coffee!

This coffee shop has the best flat whites (decaf and regular) and cappuccino, hands down. I usually get the flat white with oat milk. The espresso coffee has a bright berry cacao aroma and is the best IMO. The seasonal cold brews are delicious as well but those could be a bit sweet.
