In a fleeting moment of stillness on our whirlwind of a journey, we found ourselves at a quaint, undiscovered bbq stop that left our stomachs full and our hearts fuller. We enjoyed friendly banter with the mischevious woman behind the counter, who chooses kissing and freedom. We went horizontal with Adam (don’t ask him his middle name) and friendships like that don’t come around often. The meat platter was dusted and the bathroom was graced. Fabulous

This is legit BBQ! The pulled pork is on point, they make all their own sauces and they are the perfect compliment to the meat (pulled pork and chicken, brisket, ribs and sausages).Their sides are also homemade and you can tell. Excellent collard greens, mac and cheese, coleslaw and hush puppies!! Service is friendly, fast and helpful. Robin is amazing and made our first visit to the restaurant memorable and well worth the drive from DC. If you are interested in great bbq this is the place for you. Home cooking, fantastic food. Came here with family my husband had a platter and I had the Pit master sandwich and we split a side sample (green bean, Mac and cheese, cole slaw, and potatoe salad). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Allman’s BBQ is always a must when I’m back in Virginia from Florida—it’s one of my favorite places to eat! This time I had the Allman’s Platter with brisket, baked beans, and coleslaw. The brisket was tender and smoky, the beans were hearty and full of flavor, and the slaw was fresh and crisp. Great food, great tradition. It just feels like home every time I visit.
