I had high hopes for this place on my first visit, but I don’t think I will be coming back anytime soon. We came when they were absolutely slammed, but even then, I don’t think it’s a reasonable expectation to wait for 45 minutes for two sandwiches. Also, the grilled chicken sandwich came out a little cold in the middle, so I guess the chicken was not fully defrosted. The flavor of the food was decent but nothing particularly memorable. The waitress was friendly and the decor is nice, but overall, this was a bit of a disappointing experience.

This was my first time eating here & met a friend here for lunch. Wow, we will definitely be back! We arrived around 11:30am and found an available table. I had the green chili quiche with a serving of fresh fruit and a pecan muffin (& had to have a piece of Buttermilk Chess pie to go)! Everything is so fresh and delicious! The service was outstanding, such friendly and helpful folks. We were able to visit and enjoy our conversation in such a cute and cozy spot! I don't know what took so long for us to discover Laurie's but now we know and we plan to be back soon!!

First time in, but we'll definitely return. Very pleased with the quality and flavors of the food. Thought the huge chunk of tomato in my BLT was going to overpower the bacon, but it turned out to just make it a delightful eat. Nice service, fresh made lemonade, and a cute environment. Absolutely charming cafe!

I ordered a tuna sandwich (I don't remember the name of it, sorry) and a coconut cream pie. The sandwich is very good, well seasoned and balanced. While the pie is not. The pie is soggy and tastes awful. Looks like it's been there for a long time and started to melt and lose its shape. You can see in my picture that it could not hold its shape.
