We just had a late lunch here. We were seated immediately. Our server, Essence, was very prompt and friendly! My husband and I both had appetizers-fried mushrooms and mozzarella sticks. Both were delicious! My husband had a cheeseburger and fries. He said it was so good! I ordered the Philly cheese steak sandwich and fries. It was amazing! Essence kept our sweet tea glasses full. This is a small restaurant with wonderful food! There are daily specials and a wide variety of food options. It’s a hidden gem at the Island View and we highly recommend stopping by!

Yikes. Maybe they were having a bad day but be warned, this diner is not so great. Starts with a long line to get in because they refuse to move any tables to accommodate two tops. The tables are set for four but could easily be turned into 2 two tops. There was some sign about social distancing being the reason why they could not move the tables. (Hello, It’s 2025.) The meal comes with a salad. Seems the salad was put together last week. The lettuce was wilted and the cucumbers were slimy. My “rare” steak tidbits were raw. This was my first time eating at this place, and I am very happy 😁 I chose this place when I say that the Gumbo was good, not just good but GREAT, full of meat, the flavor just right not too much rice every bite crawfish, sausage, shrimp just delicious...I had to get a bowl to go...I had more to review about the other food items, every thing was amazing, can't go wrong
