First time here, we (two of us) visited on Tuesday 12/23 for lunch. Seated right away with no wait. Ordered a few pieces of Nigiri, Eel and Yellowtail. Decided on the Big Mama specialty roll, the Spicy Salmon and Spicy Scallops rolls. Everything came out fast and was so delicious. Presentation of all was beautiful. Would highly recommend!

Kinda torn writing this review. The food is good and hits the spot when you're hungry. The ramen and rolls are decent--not mind-blowing. We've had better in bigger cities, but hey, this is Gurnee, and food options are limited. So go here sushi and ramen around here, What really stood out was the service. There was only one server working the whole place, and it was packed. She handled it like a pro and was super sweet, especially with the kids. Her service push this rating from 3.5 stars to 4 stars. We'll definitely swing by again next time we're in Gurnee.

Saw the reviews and decided to stop in during the visit to the area. WOW! The restaurant is nothing fancy but the food and the service was SPECTACULAR!!! It's the best sushi we've ever had nationwide, zero question. The flavor, the presentation, everything. We'll be dreaming of this place for a long time as we continue to move around the country. We recommend the Nigiri and Sashimi chef's choice options as well as the vegetable tempura (see the pics). We were so glad we made these choices. Wow… every plate was amazing and looking great. Way beyond my expectation for our dinner tonight. If you never tried fried shumai, this is different. Must try this before your main. My favorite is the seared squid sushi and squid sashimi!!
