Wish it were better as we pull for such local establishments, but we are honest here. Food taste was below are expectations. Price was way above our expectations. $3.89 for a small slice of buttermilk pie. $40 total for two people with waters to drink. Then the card swipe wanted 18, 20 or 25% for a tip and with no table service. No service, then no tip. We were hoping for better food and pricing. The environment was very nice.

I have been so sad that many of the meat and 3 locations have closed. I have been here twice in the past month and it is SO very good! They are also very fast and very nice! Everything I have had is wonderful.

This place is wonderful! The manager was really nice and helpful. Everything came out really fast, which was great because I was eating with my husband on his lunch break. Their name says it all. The Fried Green Tomatos were the best I have ever had! The chicken was moist and flavorful. But I think my favorite was the steamed cabbage! Everything tasted like grandma's home cooking! Definitely a soul food gem. I would go back anytime!

We ate lunch here. The food was crazy good. A lot better than I expected. The only thing that would have made it better would be if we came in, sat down, and got waited on instead of cafeteria style. It cost my husband and I about $45 for lunch.
