It was birthday meal, and I selected La Papillon as the dinner location. The atmosphere boasts a well taught french decor, soft lighting and also front garden (covered outside) options for the Sunny weather. It definitely acheieved the feel or being back in Europe. I don’t know how this is considered fine dinning …. They had fake dollar store flowers as the center piece and dusty fake candles. That wasn’t even the issue for me though. Right when we walked in we got punched by an overwhelming chemical smell of cleaning products. (My husband knew right off the bat it was Fabuloso cause that’s what he put in our toilet one time from a TikTok trend. ) It was so overpowering that the smell clung on to our hair and clothes hours after leaving the restaurant.
