The food here is tasty and the portions are good. I ordered the chilaquiles verdes with chicken. The sauce was delicious and clearly made from scratch, not from a can. However, the chicken was overcooked, making it dry and tough to cut. It’s also worth noting that chicken isn't included with the chilaquiles; I was charged an extra $4 for it, which the waitress didn't mention when she asked if I wanted to add protein. We also ordered a steak sandwich with fries, which was delicious. They asked if I wanted to add bacon, but that was also an extra $4, which felt a bit steep for just two strips. O

I've been wanting to try Frida Room and had a weekday brunch. There was plenty of seating and the vibe was chill, so we chose a window seat that opened up to 18th Street. The decor had fun Frida-themed artwork, including skateboard decks. Service was polite and attentive, overall solid. Babe and I stopped by for brunch, I wanted to share this experience with him as Frida Room is one of my favorite spots. Every time I have been here over the past 4+ years I get the Art District Burger. It comes with bacon, grilled strawberries, grilled blueberries and a spicy chipotle sauce.
