My first time at Mad Mex was memorable. I went here with my partner who recommended the place since we used to live in Monroeville and always saw the place when driving to the stores but never went in to dine. The interiors and the vibe was very modern and hip, the service was phenomenal and the food wasn't bad either. I ordered the tofu dish since I'm vegetarian and ordered their watermelon fresca since they didn't have orchata like they do in most Mexican restaurants. Both was delicious, I may say. Everything from the chicken wings, margaritas and fajitas were extremely fresh and delicious!. Our waiter Chris was so attentive and had the best vibes ever! Did I mentioned the music was on point?! We came to Mad Mex because my wife had heard good things. We almost did a few months ago but I opted for a food truck that made excellent street tacos instead. Definitely a restaurant that is bigger on the inside and they have plenty of outdoor seating when the weather is better. Again I can't really rate it because it was my first time there. I ordered the fajitas which was pretty good. The salsaand chips where pretty good. The decor has too much day of the dead symbols. It could be toned down.
