Don't let the reviews fool you. The burgers are so flat, they had to co e from a freezer. I had a double chilli burger. The chilli was sour. The burger looked like it should've been a single the meat was that thin. My husband and son had burgers. Again flat meat. The fries were a tad under cooked. Freezer fries a bit freezer burned. Their burrito was a deep fried frozen burrito you get in a pack like from costco or something. My other boy had a chicken sandwich a frozen breaded patty. Not worth the amount we paid. Smaller portions but smaller prices. Chilli is phenomenal, the chilli cheese fries are nothing special. I really liked the chilli dog and I got a triple chilli cheese burger which was also good too. Seems like a local favorite, I will be back.

Girl who took our order was very helpful and nice. I have lived in oxnard since 1981 and never have I ever tried Buddy's. As kids we would always say let's try it bc that's Dad's name but alas, my parents did not raise us eating from burger joints ever.
