What an absolutely fun Tex-Mex restaurant to be at! We passed by it so many times on the way to Saltgrass, but never been until recently. The interior can be described as very kitschy, fun and vibrant. The food is fantastic and the servers are just as great. I stopped by Chuy’s for lunch and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the chicken carbon tacos with chips, and it turned out to be the perfect meal for the afternoon. The chicken was flavorful and tender, wrapped just right, and the chips were fresh and crisp — great for dipping while waiting for the main plate. The portion size was satisfying without being too heavy, making it an ideal midday meal. The laid-back Tex-Mex vibe of Chuy’s paired perfectly with the food. I've eaten here before but it was a really long time ago. The salsa is ok but they also have a sort of ranch dip they bring along with the salsa that I really like. We ordered some queso as well and I really liked it; my wife said it was good but not great. For entrées we had the relleno and enchilada combo with the boom boom sauce and green chile sauce and the green chile fried chicken, respectively. We both really enjoyed our entrées.
