Mia Vanarsdale★★★★★I finally made the 40+ minute drive to Alpha Gyro in Harvey, IL after repeatedly hearing about their famous “Gym Shoe.” This hoagie comes loaded with roast beef, corned beef, gyro meat, lettuce, onion, cheese, mayo, all served on a soft French/hoagie-style bread, and you can order it hot or cold. Online- the meats are finely chopped so everything blends together smoothly in each bite. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here. The meat was cut into much larger pieces, and as shown in the image I posted, the gyro meat was the most prominent, which ended up overpowering the corned beef and roast
