I've been coming and supporting this spot for 13 years, I moved to ridgewood back in 2010. I probably have been dining in to eat twice a week consistently for the past 4 years and can genuinely say that a lot of these negative reviews are fabricated and targeted at the good folks who run this business, from what I've seen over the years, there's people in the area that want to cause harm to their business out of spite but I've come here to let people know I eat here all the time with coworkers and friends and we get treated with respect and served fresh well made food but don't take my word fo

We placed an order of pernil thru Seamless, and received what appeared to be a potential combination meal instead. We called the restaurant and explained the mistake, only to deal with the absolute rudest female employee, who angrily barked at me in Spanish that customers normally order the combination plate. Was she expecting me to thank her for incorrectly sending what she thought I ordered instead of what I actually ordered? Ordered the shrimp mofongo via Grubhub. Absolutely disgusting, the mofongo had a consistency close to mangu. Literally a big block of flavorless ‘mofongo’ surrounded by medium-sized shrimp. Oddly the dish already came dressed in sauce which surprised me, I prefer the items separate. They have their own delivery guy and he was rude- no greeting and couldn’t even reply to my verbal thank you. The order arrived much later than the Grubhub estimate. The shrimp tasted okay but the mofongo was horrible- lacking flavor and the consistency of baby food. I don’t recommend.

I ordered from here several times before and I always get the chicken soup. It usually has chicken, broth, vegetables, and noodles. This time it had a piece of a potato chicken and a lot of broth and literally nothing else. They sent white rice on the side, perhaps expecting me to use that for noodles. I called them and they hung up on me 4 times before I even barely got to talk. When I finally did get to speak to someone, I asked why the soup didn’t have as much ingredients because I was just curious if they changed their recipe, and the lady answers me and says I’m sorry you don’t get vege
