First time at a Captain D's in over 5 years. The taste is consistent with how it's always been which is a good thing. It's a good cheap meal. The staff were friendly and Atmosphere was what you would expect. I will be back.

Visited Captain D’s in Summerville—big regret. Food execution is a total flop: fried in stale oil, turning breading into tough, chewy cardboard that’s impossible to enjoy. Fish and shrimp came out flavorless and overdone; even simple broccoli was botched into soggy mush. No saving grace. Staff appeared drained and unmotivated, silently dropping orders without basic courtesy—feels like zero pay or care. Went at 5pm in the drivethru on June 3rd. Got two meals. Asked for extra EXTRA tartar sauce. I got my food and saw i got two sauce with each meal (the standard amount). I asked the guy again, and said can i please have extra? He told me more was in the bag that i didnt see. Stupidly, i took him for his word and drove off. WHY IS CAPTAIN DS so pressed about sauce to where the worker LIED and refused to give extra. I WILL PAY FOR EXTRA. Also, the fries were stale. Fish was okay. I ordered a two piece fish and fries and got wayyyy more crumbs than anything on the plate. The fries were cold and not edible. DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU GET FOOD POISONING AFTER WAITING 20 mins!!!!
