I have celiac and am grateful to have gf bread options and very happy the gf peanut butter cookies are in their own jar, avoiding cross contamination. I know there is always some risk if an establishment isn't 100% gluten-free, but I've eaten here many times and haven't had a reaction. The food is good, service is solid, and the ambiance is lovely.

Kevin Kim★★★★Slimak is one of my go-to spots for local breakfast in the Sunset Park neighborhood. Locals come here to work on their laptops during weekdays as well. Food quality is good here and the staff team is friendly. On my recent visit I ordered orange juice and it was freshly squeezed, albeit it was a little too sour / acidic for me, but I guess that’s what you get with freshly squeezed orange juice. One thing I wish they added to their menu is hashed brown potatoes. They do have home fries though. I recommend this place for breakfast and brunch.

Came for brunch after a run and everything we ordered just hit the spot. Plenty of seating and a big menu of so many items I can’t wait to come back to try. Worth a visit if you’re in the area. I could see myself getting a lot of work done here if I had brought a laptop—that kind of cafe. Awesome spot!
