I normally don't review chain locations like this but this was honestly a little disappointing. The service was awful. I understand it's New Year's Day, but the workers (save for one very polite man) were all apathetic and a little depressed. They were very monotone when conversing with my family, making me feel as if there was an inconvenience simply with my presence. It was very unwelcoming. My husband and I went to The Villages for a free concert at the square. We got dinner there before the concert started at Panera Bread that is a very convenient for concert attendees and within walking distance to the square. We ordered a Turkey sandwich with a soda for the drink. The chips were offered free with the purchase of a sandwich. The sandwich was freshly made and it was delicious, the only problem was that it had a lot of spicy mustard on it, we both would have liked a little less and have it more evenly spread on the bread. Food is okay. Service is terrible especially from the food prep staff and especially one in particular. I was made to feel like I was in a soup kitchen and she was doing me a favor giving me food. I felt belittled and she ruined my entire dinner experience. If you want to eat some average food and be shouted at while doing so then this particular Panera Bread is a good one to consider. I will not be back unless I feel like being abused.
