Servers are fantastic, polite, attentive and truly a pleasure to deal with. The food is average, not terrible but not great. The drinks were well made, while the desert seemed store bought (not saying it was). To be honest, we ate there about a week or two ago dropped over $300 and I can't remember what I ordered, that in itself is my review.

Allegro is an upland staple. The restaurant is no frills; charming without needing to be gaudy. Visited for lunch on a weekday, it's honestly a lovely environment. The food left a bit to be desired, but overall good. The soup was bland tasting but the chicken sandwich was tasty. I'm looking forward to going again and trying something different.

The restaurant is gorgeous. And the service was terrific. The wine list is decent, offering a number of wines by the glass. The cocktails (1 of my companions tried 2 are interesting & he enjoyed them. The fresh baked BREAD was amazing. Had to fight to get some. My vegetarian friends were very pleased with their dishes. (Eggplant parm was 1). My friend who got the shrimp dish was disappointed. They were small, flavorless bay shrimps. I had the chick parm, on the recommendation of our wonderful waitress.
