For my first time at Denny’s this is the worst experience I never expected to have. To start with I wasn’t explained That there was different fries options. So when I received a fries option that didn’t look like the ones in the picture, I asked if I can get the other option. The waiter told me that the option I wanted would be an additional $4. Out of confusion, I explained that I didn’t know there was different fries options. I had never experienced bad service at the Upland, CA Denny’s until 4/16/2026. They had a sign outside closed for 30 mins while in break. The server/host said we would have to wait for 30 min because he hadnt gone to break and had 3 other parties he was serving. We decided to wait for him to go to break. After 40 min, we asked if he has gone to break and he said no. He didn't apologize for the wait and we decided to leave. It is not his fault of the poor management and understaff location.
