Just trust me when I say that this is the best Vietnamese restaurant in Chicago. I can not emphasize enough how good the quality of food is each and every time we go to DaNang Kitchen. My go to: Pho with everything and Vietnamese egg coffee. The owners make me feel like home. One of the reasons I keep returning every time to try more of their dishes cooked with so much love. 6/5⭐️, and if I could give it more stars - I would. Don’t hesitate to visit, its so worth it.

When it comes to Vietnamese cuisine, you really can't go wrong on Argyle St. DaNang tends to have some of the higher prices, but damn if they aren't also one of the best. Named after the city located halfway between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, DaNang excels at both northern and southern flavors. I'm never disappointed by their meat dishes, charred just enough to give that extra crispy burst of flavor. I love the house-made fish sauce, which is stronger and better-tasting than some of the watered-down ones nearby. I've lived in Chicago my whole life and have gone to many Vietnamese restaurants. This is the best BY FAR I have ever been to. Every dish was amazing. The short rib was ridiculously good. Felt like we were at a downtown fine dining restaurant based on the quality of the food and technique, with friendly neighborhood family atmosphere and very reasonable prices. Definitely coming back! Sydney was so kind and gracious as she talked to us about the food and how her family started the restaurant.
