Calvin Le Moine★★★★★A decade ago I worked in Thi’s kitchen where all of the food was perfect (Bistro Z in Sussex). Fast forward to Valentines Day when I saw Thi again to enjoy the special menu at Wild Roots. The atmosphere is unique, modern, and a conversation starter. The bulgogi meatballs are one of my all time favorite starters — must try in Milwaukee. The beef Wellington on the menu exceeded expectations; my girlfriend loved the entirety of her meal as well. Her steak atop the garlic mash was great.

My dairy-free, chef sister, "meat and potatoes" partner, and no red meat, eat with her eyes first gal, me, made the perfect decision to dine at Wild Roots. The place is a little loud, with lots of hard surfaces and music playing. We were greeted by a very friendly server, who seemed to be doing pretty much everything except the cooking. There are a c
Bethany Van Ruden★★★While I usually appreciate a small, curated menu, this one felt too limited and didn’t offer enough variety to get our group very excited about the options. Most of us ended up ordering the burger of the day, the regular duck fat burger that’s always on the menu, or the steak special. There were no prices listed on the online menu, which immediately had us a little nervous about what the final bill might look like. Our waitress was very nice, but she appeared to be the only person serving the entire dining room. If they were short staffed that night, that’s understandable, but if that’s thei
