Everything was excellent. Celebrating a wedding in the family. It was just the 4 of us there but very prompt on everything. We were given extra information about the artwork in the building, etc. Cocktails were great, our food was even better. Steak wasnt super impressed with, but it was cooked well and I definitely didnt struggle finishing it. Everything else was perfection, we got several appetizers to share with table. Loved all the dips that came with the ritz and dips...laughed at the "fancy" presentation of opening a pack of ritz with a pair of scissors for our dips....but the package crackers were perfect for how great the dips were. We had an incredible night here. First, the vibe and decor of the place is awesome. We started with the sourdough and the Caesar salad. Sourdough was great and the Caesar salad was a terrific Asian take on it. Absolute umami bomb. Due to the fact that it was Lent, I got the seared redfish. I was between that and the mushroom risotto, which the server said was better as a side. I appreciated her honesty, Presentation was great, as it came with what I would call a genie’s lamp of sauce that was poured around the fish into the bed of quinoa. The quinoa was unlike any quinoa I’ve ever had - it was full of flavor and was very hearty and satiating. My wife had the filet, which she liked a lot, but she did not that it tasted a little like barbecue - wasn’t bad, but was not what she was expecting. The green beans and the mushrooms were great. We celebrated our Thanksgiving dinner at Horses & Bricks, and the entire evening was exceptional. The moment we walked in, the warm Texas atmosphere immediately stood out, classic, cozy, and beautifully designed. The walls are adorned with the hotel owner’s personal art collection, which gives the space a refined and intimate character. Our corner table made the experience feel especially romantic and memorable. The food was outstanding. Absolutely fantastic dining experience from start to finish. The waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The salad with smoked bacon and aged buttermilk was a fantastic start.
