Swallow Café in Alicante is one of those places you almost don’t want to share, because it feels like a hidden gem. It’s a small and cosy café with a very warm, relaxed atmosphere. The interior has a natural, minimalist feel with stone walls and soft lighting, which makes it easy to sit down and slow things down for a moment. It does get quite busy, and seating is limited, but that adds to the charm rather than taking away from it. The coffee drinks are genuinely good. What a lovely little coffee shop! We walked in and it was relatively busy but the staff were extremely friendly and helpful in finding us a spot to sit. We ordered an decaf iced americano and cappuccino and they were delicious! There was a really chill atmosphere with people chatting and families with kids coming and going too. Highly recommend Swallow to anyone just as a way to relax while enjoying the old town in Alicante! Can’t say enough good things about the staff though, they were so fun! They had pastries and treats but we didn’t go for anything but they all looked lovely!

Loved this little cafe. Stumbled on it on my walk up to the castle through the barrio. The first time it was very busy but got a seat the next day. The carrot cake was amazing and I liked the chilled vibe. I sat at the window and felt like I was in a little coffee cave. Coffee kept me alive until the castle as I took half with me. Would definitely visit again from London.
