PROBABLY THE WORST CLUB SANDWICH IN TOWN & Fake prices on the Menu. The Cheers Pub has moved from the basement to the ground floor. But what a come down! It is now just another ordinary restaurant with sports screens and screaming kids. There's absolutely no Pub character or atmosphere. The Club sandwich is extremely dry and basically a lot of over toasted and burnt bread with tasteless boiled chicken, some dry lettuce without a dressing, a little bit of cheese and a little bit of what doesn't taste like an egg. The crispy bacon promised on the menu comes as unfried boiled bacon. And .... those aren't spicy chips they are over fried French fries! The prices on the menu are totally misleading. The bills come with the 30% mentioned at the bottom of the menu in small print. Taxes and the service charge doesn't change as often as the food prices. I had the pleasure of visiting Cheers Pub at Cinnamon Grand yesterday, and I must say I was truly impressed! The place has always had a great vibe, but their new setup and interior upgrade has taken the experience to a whole new level. From the moment you walk in, you notice the fresh energy the modern yet cozy design, stylish décor, and warm lighting create the perfect atmosphere to relax and unwind. The seating is more comfortable, the layout is thoughtfully arranged, and every detail feels well put together. It still carries the charm of the old Cheers Pub but with a refreshing, contemporary twist. The service was, as always, outstanding friendly staff who genuinely care about making sure guests are comfortable. The food and drinks were excellent, and the overall ambiance made it such a memorable evening. Cinnamon Grand has really done a fantastic job with this revamp, and I can confidently say Cheers Pub is now one of the most inviting spots in Colombo to enjoy a night out. High
