Quirky and quaint and so lovely! Everything, from the low ceilings and beautiful beams throughout, the warm welcome on what was clearly a busy evening, to the lovely staff who checked on us during our meal which was absolutely delicious. We had a satay chicken starter, for mains I had the sea bass and my friend had the steak. We were both impressed by the quality and presentation of the food. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! This was out first visit here and it was to celebrate a special moment and I am so glad I chose Stag & Hounds, it was the perfect place.

Went here for lunch with a friend - the food was excellent and the service was absolutely spot on. Caters well for vegetarians, too. We both had salads (I had the halloumi and she had the duck) and we both commented that there had been no scrimping on ingredients, and they were well dressed, filling and super tasty. I’ll definitely be back!

First time visiting here on Saturday. I’m gluten free but also have other intolerances, so it makes it hard where to go and eat. I was blown away. I had the pan fried Salmon fillet with crushed new potatoes, samphire, chorizo etc. Presentation was on point, it was piping hot so could tell it hadn’t been sat there, the meal was full of flavour!! I could have had a second portion lol. 😂 They assured me the food is cooked in a separate area/fryer so cross contamination was avoided.
