Waitrose is not my usual store as it is expensive. However, I can't fault the quality and variety of products available. Fresh produce is top class. This store is small in area but still packs in a lot which means people can't help but bump into each other. The attached car park in busy Harpenden is very welcome.

I love coming to do my food shop here. The amount of choice and freshness of foods is wonderful in Harpenden. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Sometimes the trolley doesn't work properly but staff always sort this out. The wine selection is impressive too.

I wanted a barbecue pulled pork - something my partners father will actually eat - he’s a bit picky - but the only one on the shelf looked like it had sprung a leak. Hazel checked to see if there were anymore in the stock room and then went to go and find me one - thanks so much Hazel - I appreciate you and the other staff are so busy! I do the majority of my shopping at this store and, in general, I find that you can almost always get what you need. Most of the staff are polite, approachable and helpful. However, I have repeatedly had a negative experience with the young man at the fish counter. On several occasions he has been rude, unhelpful and visibly irritated when asked to clean the fish, which is part of the service provided. I have also been told a few times that there was no more of a particular item available, yet when I returned to the store half an hour later, as I had forgotten something, additional stock had
