Visited for Sunday roast. This is a hotel/pub/restaurant and it is deceptively big. You enter through the bar area from the high street then there is a separate sung area that is dog friendly with about half a dozen tables. There is an outside area and finally, the main restaurant is to the back. We sat in the snug area as we had our dog with us. It is tastefully decorated. The food was nice. It was a good sized portion and the price reasonable. Your order from the bar and the food is bought to you. Service was friendly. It very very enjoyable. Will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Rooms are fairly big for a 3 star hotel, comfy beds and big bathrooms. Staff are very friendly, bar team are great as well as breakfast. Food is tasty and well priced. Cleaning staff are a little disappointing. 1st night my room wasn’t cleaned or bed done at all (maybe they don’t do it each night) then another night I found the tv remote under the covers?! I realise when I lay on it the sink plug hole needs a good scrub too.

Room was clean and comfortable with en-suite facilities, shower over bath. Tea/coffee facilities in room. No air-conditioning but we did have a fan in the room ( which was needed). Nice friendly staff and welcome. Comfortable pub/hotel setting which is large with plenty of options for seating both inside and out. Set in the old town of Poole only a very short walk to the quayside. Lots of restaurants in area if you need something different. Very good breakfast.

Looking for somewhere to eat in Poole we found The Smugglers/Antelope and how glad we were we found this little gem. . We enjoyed a fantastic meal. The food delicious and a great price. The service was excellent , staff friendly and attentive. Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Would thoroughly recommend.
