Delightful local pub in Hackney, friendly chilled staff. Easy to get a seat indoors or outdoors in the nice shady garden. The food is very tasty and the chips are always piping hot! Tons of beers on tap and if wine is your thing decent selection there too! If you’re in the hood stop by the axe, you won’t regret it!

Came here last week and was really impress by the Sunday roast prepared here. I was quite glad the roasted beef were cooked perfectly medium rare and was really loving it! I could take a photo of the dish with beef itself but didn’t get chance to. The Yorkshire puddings was stunning and really loving this. I would recommend people to come here to those planning to visit.

We had a fantastic time reserving the private room in the back (the cave) with our group of 20 people for a birthday celebration. The food was delicious, great selection of drinks and cocktails, the space was perfect even with small children, and the service staff was really amazing helping us with everything, from putting our own music to helping with the birthday cake and plates. Thanks again, we’ll be back soon.
