Had to go twice for our visit to Eureka! It sounds tough to be good at Japanese and Italian but they really nailed it! The chicken is amazing in the Italian dishes & the sushi rolls are delicious. I couldn't get over how good the unagi sauce was!

Within our monthly rotation of local Asian restaurants, we end up here at least one a year. Arriving on a weekday evening ensures our pick of tables and attentive service. Tables next to the windows provide excellent views of the harbor. The menu includes several varieties of sake, which was appreciated. The only thing to be wary of is the noise and spectacle of the teppanyaki (hibachi) groups in the back quarter — lots of steel clanging and the occasional burst of flame.

We had the lobster roll for an appetizer (we grabbed a bit before I thought to take a photo). It was delicious and larger than expected. The hot sake/plum wine mix was nice - not too sweet and good for a chilly day. For late lunch I had the chicken katsu. It was tender and juicy with just the right amount of crunch. Hubby had the mixed tempura lunch. The batter is light and not overly greasy.

Lovely spot for a special dinner by the harbor! The Humboldt combo (sushi) was phenomenal 😍 #shrimpboat Fu. To watch the hibachi show and a good wine list with Italian food options as well.
